Hello, I'm Nicole.
With my daughter and in my environment, I have seen how important conversations are for children's language development. In everyday life, however, there is often simply not enough time for endless questions and stories.
When my daughter was 2 years old, I also realized how advanced modern technology had become – and that this progress could also be used to support children in language acquisition and language development.
At the same time, I saw how important plush toys are for children – very often, the plush toy even goes to daycare or kindergarten. And so, one day, I had an idea that changed everything.
"What if a cuddly toy could really talk to a child and respond individually to them?"
Thus, the idea for Polingo was born.

More than 2.5 years of development time, numerous prototypes, tests, long nights, and a multitude of revisions have gone into Polingo. We didn't simply adopt an existing solution: our characters and plush toys, the sound box, the accompanying parent app, and the conversation concept were all specially developed for Polingo and carefully coordinated with each other.
The starting point was my perspective as a mom and the desire for language support that could be integrated playfully and naturally into an already busy family routine. From the very beginning, we involved educators and speech therapists in the pedagogical and linguistic design. Their experience has flowed into numerous details – from the different language levels of children to the way Polingo listens, asks questions, and continues conversations.
